Pet of The Week 3/24/25 “Randall”

Please keep sharing, Randall needs your help – A Big Boy with an Even Bigger Heart. Randall’s story is one of love, loss, and resilience. After being at Jersey Shore Animal Center for close to one year, Randall was adopted back in 2021 and lived a wonderful life with his dad—until tragedy struck earlier this year. In February, Randall’s beloved young owner suddenly passed away at home, leaving him alone for days before authorities were called for a wellness check. We can’t begin to imagine the heartbreak and confusion this sweet boy has endured. With no family able to take him in, a close friend has agreed to “foster” Randall while we search for his perfect new home. Jersey Shore Animal Center is grateful as it would gut us all to have him come back into shelter life. At almost 7 years old and weighing around 60+ lbs, Randall is a big, lovable guy who thrives in a home with a fenced yard where he can explore and relax. He has lived mostly as a single pet, but previously enjoyed doggie daycare. So while he may like other dogs, they believe he’ll do best as the only pet in his new home. No cats, please! Kids also make him a bit nervous, so an adult-only home is best.
Despite everything he has been through, Randall is still a fun-loving, sweet-as-can-be pup who deserves a second chance at happiness. We just want to help heal his heart and give him a fresh start.
